Céad Faoistin agus CéadChomaoineadh/ First Confession and First Communion

Huge congratulations to Ms. Murphy's 2nd class girls and Ms. Sweeney's boys who made their First Holy Communion on Saturday May 5th. We hopeeveryone had a great day. Go raibh maith agat toMs. Murphy and Ms Sweeney for all the work they put into the preparation and the ceremony. Thanks to the First Class parents and the Parents’ Council who helped out with the communion reception in the school.

Cóineartú/Confirmation

Our Sixth Class students made their Confirmation on Friday 27th April. Thank you to the school choir who gave a magnificent performance on the day. We are very grateful to Ms. Smith and Antoinette forall they did in preparing the girls.

Dia dhíbh go léir,As the final term of school comes to an end I’m sureeverybody is looking forward to the summerholidays. It’s been a very busy few weeks withschool tours, cake sales, Active Schools Week,Sports Day, First Communion and Confirmationcelebrated.

I want to thank everybody who made this academic year such a success. I would like to thank the many people who gave their time and energy to many school projects throughout the past year whether on an individual basis or through involvement in groups such as the Board of Management, The ParentsAssociation, sports organizations etc. A huge word of thanks to the school staff who are so committed to providing the very best opportunities to the students in their care. Your support, enthusiasm and commitment is very much appreciated.I’d like to thank a number of parents who are finishing with us this year and have done Trojan work on behalf of the Parents Association.; these include Hannah O’Connell who has been secretary of the association for many years and Eva Nolan,Val Doughty, Sandra O Connor, Veronica O Connell and Teresa Keating.

 Sports Day

A huge word of thanks to Ms O Leary for organizing a very successful sports day, To Tommy O'Connor(Basketball coach), Pa Murphy (Playball coach), theActive School Committee and the wonderful team in the school who gave their time and made our annual schools sports day such a success. Well Done to allToday is a very special day for the SixthClass as they finish with us after their GraduationCeremony. We wish them all the best in secondary school. We’re sure they have a very bright future ahead of them. We also say goodbye to the boys inFirst Class who are moving on to the Boys’National School. Go n-eirí libh go lėir!
